Denison Leadership Program - Mission Statement
At Dr. Denison, we bridge the gap between leadership theory and social impact in support of student achievement. Our program challenges students to refine their leadership toolkit through diverse coursework, preparing them to be responsible citizens and active leaders who foster healthy growth and relationships within our school, our town, and our world - through a lens of human rights and inclusive education.
Open House Information:
Denison will be holding an open house on Tuesday, November 10th, 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in their cafeteria.
Additional Graduation Requirements for Program
- 100 volunteer hours total (60 more than required 40 hours) - would grant silver volunteer certificate
- Required course completion for specific courses from grades 9-12
- 7 course total
- 2 required courses in grade 9;
- 2 required courses in grade 10;
- 1 required course in grade 11;
- 2 completed courses in grade 11/12 from a specific list of courses
- 7 course total
Course Information
Application Process
- Application package - grade 7 report card (70% minimum average) + application package due by Friday, December 4th @ 3 PM
- parents/guardians informed of successful entry to next stage of application before winter break
- Assessment date - January 6th or 12th at Denison SS (cafeteria)
- In-person application process - e.g., two paragraph responses to questions given on assessment day
- Successful candidates will be informed before the end of January
